Quantification of Efficiency Losses Due to Mobile Ions in Perovskite Solar Cells via Fast Hysteresis Measurements

چکیده
Perovskite semiconductors differ from most inorganic and organic due to the presence of mobile ions in material. Although phenomenon is intensively investigated, important questions such as exact impact on steady-state power conversion efficiency (PCE) stability remain. Herein, a simple method proposed estimate loss via “fast-hysteresis” measurements by preventing perturbation out their equilibrium position at fast scan speeds ( ? 1000 V s?1). The “ion-free” PCE between 1% 3% higher than PCE, demonstrating importance ion-induced losses, even cells with low levels hysteresis typical 100 mV over many orders magnitude speed provides information effective ion diffusion constant peak position. fast-hysteresis are corroborated transient charge extraction capacitance numerical simulations, which confirm experimental findings provide insights into carrier dynamics. quantify losses field screening induced clarifies several observations opens up large range future experiments.

Anomalous Hysteresis in Perovskite Solar Cells.
Perovskite solar cells have rapidly risen to the forefront of emerging photovoltaic technologies, exhibiting rapidly rising efficiencies. This is likely to continue to rise, but in the development of these solar cells there are unusual characteristics that have arisen, specifically an anomalous hysteresis in the current-voltage curves. We identify this phenomenon and show some examples of facto...

Organic-inorganic lead halide perovskites are distinct from most other semiconductors because they exhibit characteristics of both electronic and ionic motion. Accurate understanding of the optoelectronic impact of such properties is important to fully optimize devices and be aware of any limitations of perovskite solar cells and broader optoelectronic devices. Here we use a numerical drift-dif...

Since the report on long-term durable solid-state perovskite solar cell in 2012, perovskite solar cells based on lead halide perovskites having organic cations such as methylammonium CH3NH3PbI3 or formamidinium HC(NH2)2PbI3 have received great attention because of superb photovoltaic performance with power conversion efficiency exceeding 22 %. In this review, emergence of perovskite solar cell ...

Although there has been rapid progress in the efficiency of perovskite-based solar cells, hysteresis in the current-voltage performance is not yet completely understood. Owing to its complex structure, it is not easy to attribute the hysteretic behavior to any one of different components, such as the bulk of the perovskite or different heterojunction interfaces. Among organo-lead halide perovsk...
